| All websites are not created equal. Many designers can build a visually appealing website but how many can make their websites rank among the highest in the world on Google? Not many... Archi FX not only builds some of the most attractive, creative, and functional websites on the web, but we also know how to properly optimize websites so they rank superior among their competition. Search engine optimization is not a job, it is an art that requires continuous attention to the latest trends in internet marketing and algorithms. Popular search engines such as; Google, Yahoo, Bing, and AOL constantly change or alter their way of indexing website pages. When they make changes or shifts in their indexing algorithms, your website must follow and also be 100% compliant with their standards. We provide these services for your website. Archi FX delivers amazing results with Google and other major search engines with our optimization techniques. We not only put you where you want to be on Google, we keep you there! Search engine optimization is not easy and does require a monthly or weekly effort on our part to maintain optimum rank. Studies have shown it is vital for a business's success and growth to be on top of Google in all major aspects of the respected business or service. Just because a website looks good doesn't mean it is a properly built high ranking website. We strongly believe that a website is useless unless it can be found by an end user (consumer) via a search engine. The proof is in the pudding Many of our clients will contact us to ask if we can take a look at their existing website and let them know why they are not appearing on Google. We provide them a detailed report of what is wrong and how we will fix it. Many times the first thing we will look at is the META data. This META data is the hidden code within your website that is used to communicate with the search engines and let them know what your site is all about. Commonly, the data contained within these META tags are a brief description, page title, author, indexing instructions, and keywords. Eighty percent of websites are missing these vital tags. When these tags are missing, search engines have to interpret the web page on their own and this is NOT a good thing. Illustrated below is a side by side comparison of META data in action. You will notice that the code block on the right has much more relevant data for search engines to properly index a web page. The example on the left is what 80% of websites look like behind the scenes.
Many so called "experts" in the search engine optimization (SEO) field will tell you that the only thing you need is to have good META tags throughout your website. This is absolutely not the truth! As the internet is evolving and spam is becoming a major enemy of web browsers and end users, major search engines are looking for alternative ways to verify that the content explained in the META data is actually relevant to what the end user sees on the world wide web. Many times, unethical designers, spammers, and less than desirable websites will attempt to trick a search engine. They will tell the search engine through META that the website is about a certain topic, but in the web copy the content is completely different than what is explained in the META data. Luckily, Major search engines including Google have evolved their algorithms and developed a way to cross check between meta data and web copy content. Search engines now require that the page relevance to meta content match and preferably are 80% or higher for optimum ranking. This can be done by making sure the keywords, description, and title meta tags contain the same words or phrases that are found on the actual web page that an end user can see.
Illustrated below are examples of good and bad seo relevancy reports. The seo report is on the left and the corresponding code that the analyzer is checking is shown to the right of the seo relevancy report. You do not need to know anything about code to see the differences and why the results are graded differently.
Pay attention to the details The above mentioned seo practices are mandatory for optimum rank on Google and other major search engines, but they are not enough to get your website above all the rest. Attention must be placed on the commonly overlooked aspects of the website. Items such as images, alternative text, linking, hot linking, page URL names and keyword placement within web copy. Other little details that matter to Google and other major engines is the size and format of the web copy. Google will take your website much more seriously if you have an image on your website that is named the same as one of your keywords and shows continuity within the web structure. For example: There is an image of a man holding a newspaper on your website and the image is titled: image_01.jpg. Since search engines do not have eyes, they can only interpret the true value of an element by text or description. If an image is genetically named it will have no additional value to add to the website and therefore becomes null. Instead, try titling your image: all_about_web_design.jpg and add some alternative text to match the image name "All about web design". Additionally, add a keyword to your META that is "all about web design" and match that to your web copy and add some text explaining "all about web design" somewhere in your copy. Now, there will be continuity across the entire website and Google will understand that you are explaining all about web design... Much more than an images simply named image_01.jpg. These are just a handful of the many practices that should be implemented within your website infrastructure.
